Stacked Flats @ 1019 Lee

In 2014, I purchased this historic building, which had been vacant for at least 20 years (see Recent Projects: 1019 Lee Avenue). What attracted me to the property was the opportunity to restore an important piece of Lafayette’s architectural history, bring it back into commerce, and transform it into a unique mixed-use project featuring an office and two 1.5-bedroom lofts.

In 2021, I sold the building along with the vision for its next chapter. The existing property includes three residential units and a small storefront along Lee Avenue. The proposed infill development will add six additional residences—two studio units, two one-bedroom units, and two two-bedroom units—organized around a shared common area designed to encourage community and connection.

This project represents an opportunity to build upon the success of the original restoration while bringing new life, housing, and activity to the neighborhood. We look forward to seeing this vision come to fruition.
